Bio
Born in Brooklyn, NY, his family moved him to Ohio at age 11. Not the whole family, just him. …they wish!
Upon arrival, classmates were repeatedly asking Tommy to say something, so they could audition his east coast dialect. Tommy immediately realized how boring Ohio was going to be. To accommodate them, he began repeating a George Carlin routine he saw on The Tonight Show. Y’up, his first bit was 100% “hacked.” But his audience was kids. They had no idea, and they laughed.
Tommy was immediately addicted to the laughter. However, the kids soon got tired of a routine they heard every morning, every lunch, every recess….
New material meant looking for the funny part of every experience with family and friends. This became a habit that accompanied Tommy through high school, and college… and life!
Nine long hard years at The Ohio State University got Tommy a bachelor’s degree. OK, it was five years. Five years of economics and finance, and a Bachelors in Science in Business Administration/Real Estate Finance. This made comedy a natural choice.
Tommy’s satire, cynicism, and wit touch topics that everyone can relate to, and he does it without the usual profanities.
Tommy performs in a variety of venues, from mainstream comedy clubs to local coffee houses. And he is always open to a good cause! Tommy has done benefit shows for Toys for Tots, Harvest for Hunger, and several local community Jaycees. Additionally, he enjoys entertaining at cancer treatment centers, hospitals, local missions. He’s even gotten laughs at an all female prison!
